Carretek Names Bob Olson President and Chief Executive Officer

Veteran Carreker Corporation and Bank Operations Executive to Lead BPO Business

Robert M. (Bob) Olson has been named president and chief executive officer of Carretek LLC, the transformational business processing outsourcer for transaction processing, effective October 06, 2004.

Olson is a veteran executive of Carreker Corporation and has extensive bank operations experience as well. His most recent position with Carreker Corporation was vice chairman of relationship management. Previously he was executive vice president, responsible for the Carreker’s revenue enhancement and strategy groups and the company’s human resources, office services, and international divisions.

Prior to joining Carreker, Olson was executive vice president of the bank holding company Magna Group (now Regions Financial Corporation), where he managed a number of divisions including IT, data processing, cash management, correspondent banking, and check, loan and branch operations. Earlier in his career, as group vice president of Security Pacific National Bank (now Bank of America), Olson managed various product management, operations and wholesale business lines.

Olson has been a faculty member of the BAI Graduate School of Banking for fifteen years and served on BAI’s Operations and Technology Commission from 1995-1998, chairing the commission for two years. Mr. Olson is a past member of BAI’s Banking Services Steering Committee, the Bankers Round Table Technology and Payments Council, various clearinghouses, and the Treasury Management Association.
